Privacy Policy

This policy explains what mikeyreuter.com collects, why, and your choices. I keep it minimal: no accounts, no cookies, nothing sold.

Who runs the site

mikeyreuter.com is the personal website of Michael Reuter, who decides how your information is used (the "controller"). Contact: support@mikeyreuter.com.

What is collected when you visit

Basic visit statistics: the page viewed, the date and time, your approximate location (country and city, provided by the site's host, Cloudflare), device type, browser and operating system, the website that linked you here, and how long the page took to load.

Visitors are counted with a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address. IP addresses are not stored for visit statistics.

If something on the site breaks in your browser, a short error report (the error message, the page, your browser and operating system) is sent so it can be fixed.

If you use the contact form

Your message, plus your name and email if you give them, so I can read and answer it. Only I can see messages.

What stays on your device

The cards you mark as have, want or trade (and their printings) are saved only in your browser's local storage, together with display settings (filters, saved filters, folded series, card size), unsaved changes and a short error log. None of it is sent to the site, so I cannot see or recover it: clearing your browser data deletes it. A backup file you download stays on your device.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies. (Its host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it ever needs to check that a visitor is not a robot.)

Accounts and sign-in

There are no accounts: signing in is turned off, so no email addresses or other sign-in details are collected. If accounts are ever turned on, this policy will be updated first.

How information is used

Only to run and secure the site, understand overall use (visitor numbers, popular pages), fix problems and answer messages. Only I can see visit statistics, error reports and messages.

Sharing and other services

I do not sell, rent or share personal information for advertising. The site does not currently show ads; if that ever changes, I will update this policy first. Cloudflare hosts the site and its database and processes every request to it, including its own traffic statistics and automatic security protection. Card pictures load directly from TCGdex's image server (assets.tcgdex.net), and set symbols and some card pictures from the Pokémon TCG API's image server (images.pokemontcg.io); both receive your IP address like any website you load pictures from. I may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Visit statistics are deleted after about 90 days. Only the newest 300 error reports and the newest 500 contact messages are kept.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS, and statistics, error reports and messages are visible only to me. No system is 100% secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you can ask to access, correct or delete information about you, object to how it is used, and complain to your data protection authority; I honor these requests for everyone. Email support@mikeyreuter.com; I answer within 30 days. Visit statistics cannot be linked back to one person, so they usually cannot be looked up for you.

Legal bases (GDPR): counting visits, keeping the site secure and fixing errors (my legitimate interest in a safe, working site); answering your message (the request you made by sending it). Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries, under its own data protection terms.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please do not send a message through the contact form. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information, email support@mikeyreuter.com and it will be deleted.

Changes

I may update this policy. The date above shows the current version.
